I don't know what your game is, but you need to get your shit together, guys.
I'm not a Republican. In fact, I'm a very Liberal Independent. But I don't hate Republicans. We might disagree on a lot of things, but we do have common ground. And you can't honestly have just one point of view. Liberals are here to tell Conservatives when they're being stupid, and Conservatives are here to tell Liberals when they're being stupid. It's symbiotic. It helps keep the system lubricated and running well.
Big corporations don't work as well without competition. It keeps them (more) honest and innovative and more apt to help humanity.
The problem now is that the Republican party is really going off the deep end here. Not just in becoming super-conservative. But they're just losing it. Half the things they say now are just... ridiculous. You guys have to distance yourself from the extremism and the corporations and the religion and all the other insanity and get back to your constituency and your party values. And you need to hop to, because I don't trust the Liberal Democrats being allowed to run free without you fine folks across the aisle keeping them in check.
The idea is that having parties at both extremes will keep the see-saw of America balanced, but the problem is that the Republican party is leaning so far right that the see-saw is leaning to the Liberal side pretty heavily. Like I said with the guns, you're shooting yourself in the foot here. You're leaning so far that you'll be in danger of losing your base. Your party is getting to the point where it's just laughable. In a sad way.
So please. Shape up and give the Democrats some actual competition, please. And don't make your constituency the insane, bible-thumping, "minutemen" racists, or the bull-headed, WASPy, snobbish, "don't-touch-me-I-might-catch-something" rich kids. Please. There are plenty of reasonable Conservative Republicans out there, represent them.
